"I've been asked what my goals are for our rescue. Our goals are much like everyone else; rescue horses, educate people, stop horse abuse and neglect. By my DREAM is that our rescue shuts down completely because nobody needs us anymore, that we can no longer find horses to rescue from these horrible people. My DREAM is that EVERY animal is safe from neglect and abuse, and we are no longer needed. It will probably never happen in my lifetime, but maybe, just maybe, with all of us together, we have planted the seeds that will some day lead to an enlightened society where abuse and neglect for all animals and people will be a thing of the past. It's a big dream, I know, but it is my dream....." |
Day Dreams Farm is a small group of people who came together out of a deep love for horses and people in need. We are dedicated to helping abused and neglected horses, educating the public about the responsibility of owning horses and teaching people from all walks of life the value of bonding with horses and other animals. It is a place where children and adults can find enrichment, satisfaction and purpose by helping to provide care for unwanted, abused or neglected horses.
We rescue equines, including horses, mules, or donkeys that are in imminent danger from ending up in the kill pen or being slaughtered.
We rehabilitate their bodies and their minds and adopt them to new homes where they get a second chance at a great life. We help people by assisting and educating horse owners and potential horse owners about the responsibility of horse ownership, breeding, and the problem with overpopulation of horses in the United States. We are dedicated to transforming lives of children and adults from all walks of life whether they are disadvantaged in some way, either emotionally or physically or people who just want to learn to be better and more compassionate human beings through the touch and interaction of an animal. |
Read Our StoriesAs a nonprofit organization, we depend solely on our hard working volunteers and donors. We are so happy to have made it this far in saving so many horses and other animals, but there is still so much work left to do for these neglected and abused equines. Abuse never stops and until then, neither will we.
