Lacey was taken by animal control in January 2020 from a neglectful owner in Port Huron Township. She has come SUCH a long way since then. When she came, she was very thin, covered in rain rot and barely able to be handled. It took two people to lead her from the paddock to a stall. She has blossomed into a beautiful example of the Arabian Breed. She is smart, curious, absolutely gorgeous and just a bit tenacious. We are very confidant that with the right person in her life, she will flourish into the amazing horse we already know she is.
Lacey is a true project horse and needs a special adopter who is willing to start her from the ground up. She is current on vaccines, dental, hoof care and has a current coggins. This person MUST have prior horse training experience and we prefer someone who has a great deal of experience, specifically with the Arabian Breed. She is NOT started to ride. She now leads and ties very well, and we are working on getting her better with her feet. We will continue to work with her until her perfect person arrives. Update: As of December 2020, Lacey has been briefly worked with by one of our volunteers. Read about it here to see her progress! |
Lacey is available for sponsorship until she finds her perfect forever home. Don't know what a sponsorship is? Click the button below for more information!
All adoptions are via adoption applications. You must be 18 or older and submit a request via email at [email protected]. Once your adoption application is submitted, it will be reviewed by our team. If it is determined it may be a good fit, we will contact you for an appointment for a meet and greet. We do require a signed adoption contract and we will transport the horse to the new adoptive new home. We do not allow pick up of any animals.
