What a day! Rescued a horse, dropped him off to a great place. Dropped off our huge Miss Belle. Trailer was rocking and rolling. Glad the bigger they are the faster they get tired. Never ending cold rain. shivered a lot (US). Met some awesome people who fed us a steak dinner. They adopted Belle. Picked up what we thought was two beautiful horse blankets turned into halters etc. Awesome people again. Beautiful day not with mother nature, but with the people we met.~Mary

Don't forget the Burger King benefit tomorrow from 4pm until 8pm. See the Coming Events page for details!
Belle goes to her forever home tomorrow! We are so excited. Congratulations to Pete of Midland. He already has two rescued donkeys and a rescued Amish Draft Mule.
It's cold and yucky outside tonight. Tucked all the horses in their stalls for the night. Now it's time to come in the house and tackle that mountain of paperwork on my desk. I think I'd rather go back outside.

The Halloween flyer is complete and on the "Coming Events" page.
Thank you Sara for the wonderful job you did creating the flyer for us.
A very nice reporter came out today from the Detroit Free Press to interview us for the farm. I wasn't aware that they have a big online video section, so it will not only be a written story, but video to go along with it. Stay tuned!

I measured Spirit (our baby born in the kill pen in April 2011) today and was shocked to see he measures 13.1 hands! Yeah, he's gonna be a monster!

Hope, our starvation mare from Onondaga, desperately needs a foster home! She cannot be ridden until she gains about 150 more pounds, but needs a family to brush her and love her through her rehabilitation. All medical expenses, including trims will be paid by DDF. The foster family just has to pay for her food. See her story here.
