Kevin came to us via an auction in February 2015. Believe it or not, he was warmed up in the practice ring by a full size woman when he only weighed about 600 lbs himself. We estimated he was carrying at least 250lbs. He was then ridden through the auction by a 9 year old child who rode him in a huge western bit, tight tie down and roweled spurs. They said they couldn't get him to gain weight and that's why they were getting rid of him. We paid $70.00 for him in the auction. Unfortunately, it's been discovered he seems to be an overused and neglected barrel horse. He has a heart of gold and is easily ridden in a ring by a beginner. We have used him extensively for leadline and pony rides. He is very kind and easy to handle on the ground. Unfortunately, it's very clear he's been "yahoo'ed" on the trail and he is only safe on the trail for someone with a lot of experience who can keep him focused. He does have special nutrition needs but he is very sound on no supplements at all. Adoption fee is $100.00.
