On June 19th of 2019, we received three horses from St. Clair County Animal Control. One of them was named Laddie, a small frail chestnut pony who was skin and bones Despite his feeble condition, he was doing his best to live a happy life. After a vet check, he was scored with a body score of 1 (the lowest) and aged at approximately 30 years old! Fortunately, all this hardy pony needed during his rehabilitation was groceries and lots of love; and that's exactly what we gave him.
After hay, grain, and some much needed dental work, and LOTS of love, Laddie recovered extremely well. He filled out superbly, is full of spunk, and is nothing but happy here in the pastures at Day Dreams Farm. He is happy, safe, and healthy, and that's all we could ever ask for.
Thanks to our lovely supporters and volunteers, we were able to rehabilitate Laddie back into his prime. Thank you for supporting Day Dreams Farm and allowing us to CHANGE this pony's life and SAVE him from an awful end. Laddie will be loved forever for the rest of his long lived life.
